The PIT slave
channel is the “incoming” channel and connects the matrix CPU (RS422 Master
Port) to the PIT. For larger systems using multiple PITs, the PIT slave channel
would be connected to the ports on a data port expander. The PIT master channel
connects directly to the device, or devices, being controlled.
The PIT slave channel, the connection to the matrix, is
RS422. The PIT master channel, the
connection to the connected device, is available as RS422.

includes an I2C connector for various communications to I2C devices–either alarm
inputs or control outputs. This provides the capability to remotely install
alarm devices and connect to the Honeywell matrix switch via the PIT over RS422
